Despite having a plethora of co living options to choose from in Singapore, as an expat, I’m often left with companies that over promise and under deliver.

Hei homes has been different from these experiences as the co founders are extremely hands-on with anything operational – may it be moving in, maintenance issues or any ad hoc requests. I find their speedy response rate to any escalation to be one of their most value added service.

Not to mention their units are beautifully curated, fully equipped and often in condos with excellent facilities. It’s rare to find fully furnished units put together by an interior designer to sublet in central Singapore!

Hei Homes is always my go to recommendation for any friends moving into town.

It’s a fuss free experience, the spaces are homely and tranquil and the founders are extremely lovely people!

I lived in one of Hei Homes’ properties near Farrer Park MRT for almost a year. The house is very well designed with ample lighting and cozy furniture, people from Hei Homes are also very helpful when in need. I had a wonderful time with my house mates coming from all around the world, that perhaps is the best part! Would definitely recommend for people who are looking for a place to stay in SG.

I stayed with Hei Homes for 1.5 years. They provided seamless experience. The stay and utilities provided were better than I expected. Hassle free, safe, convenient, and classy living. I planned to stay 3 months but stayed 7 months with Hei Homes and I highly recommend them for those who can afford it. The house was spacious and well decorated. Their room rental rates are competitive, and to compare accurately you should consider that all recurring costs are included in their rental unlike some other companies/landlords – costs such as cleaning, wifi, utilities and household supplies.

Here are 4 things I appreciated:

1) Easily accessible, personal and responsive customer support via WhatsApp – I have since moved to a bigger name Co-living company and their customer service requires you to submit a ticket through their app, and they’re slow to respond, it’s driving me nuts. Appreciating Hei Homes even more now.

2) Provision of household supplies over and above the minimal that other companies provide. Again comparing to my new place as well as based on my enquiries with many others during my search.

3) Prioritizing privacy in mixed gender apartments – in my apartment with two rooms sharing an adjoining bathroom between the rooms, they were committed to ensuring that prospective male tenants were offered other rooms, so that as a female tenant I would not have an adjoining bathroom with a male tenant. I did not find any other companies committed to such arrangements during my search.
Also in relation to privacy, they took very seriously my concern about a camera in the shower and acted promptly on it (turned out to be a false alarm).

4) As a bonus, they are still the only co-living company I know to allow overnight stays at no extra charge (for a limited number of days per month). Because of this I made good memories having my godsister stay over with me sometimes. It was a blessing and a special time.

I had 5 housemates during this short time and it was great knowing them, we got along well despite the age gap (I’m older than most of them being in my late 30s).

Hei Homes wasn’t perfect of course, there were issues but they were mostly resolved satisfactorily or I decided I could live with it, being a short-term stayer. I still highly recommend Hei Homes to anyone who might be looking, local or expat.

I was a long-term Hei Homes tenant for a reason. I have contacted other coliving companies before them and from the start the process was much simpler and the units are far more impressive. They hold themselves to a different standard of quality and I would consider myself lucky that they agreed to onboard me for 4 years.

I had an absolute lovely time living at the Aston property of Hei Homes! The house was beautiful, well maintained and furnished fully. The customer service was excellent from day 1 and all concerns were addressed immediately. I have stayed with another coliving company in Singapore before but Hei Homes is the absolute best! Highly recommended, it is home away from home 🙂
